PSA Generator System Technology
Oxyvital PSA generator systems are based on an innovative technology designed to separate and purify gases from ambient air.
These
systems are widely used especially for the production of oxygen (O₂)
and nitrogen (N₂), providing significant advantages in
industrial, medical, and laboratory applications.
PSA Generator System Technology
How Does PSA Technology Work?
PSA
generators operate based on the principle of separating gases in the air
under pressure using selective adsorbent
materials. The process consists of the following steps:
Air Intake
Ambient air is drawn into the
system with the help of a compressor and passed through pre-filters to
remove moisture, oil, and particles.
Adsorpsiyon
Under pressure, special adsorbent materials (e.g., molecular sieve or zeolite) capture specific gases.
- In oxygen generators, zeolites retain nitrogen and release oxygen.
- In nitrogen generators, carbon molecular sieves (CMS) retain oxygen and release nitrogen.
Pressure Release
(Desorption)
After a certain period, the
pressure is reduced to release the gas captured by the adsorbent,
allowing the system to be cleaned.
Continuous Operation
Two adsorption tanks operate
alternately to ensure uninterrupted gas production.
